WARREN: If it was dedicated, when the glory came in, the priest couldn’t stand to minister, that’s why they said they were like drunken men. They didn’t know. And they just started praising God and English didn’t come where Hebrew didn’t come out of their mouth Aramaic. It

was, it was many different languages. And all the people that were gathered from different nation heard them speaking praises to God, right? So this is what I’m talking about. You see, we have a form of God that denies the power. I wanted to teach people how they could now be the temples. And we can make ourselves available through this prayer of the cleansing and consecration prayer that God gave me. I call it the Glory prayer. He showed me that we have to make ourselves available to be those temples of God.

SID: In effect, we’re just like the priest. And doesn’t the New Testament say that the least believer is a priest of God?

WARREN: Exactly. But I want to, I really feel, I want to pray for people out there to begin to receive that right now. And so we’re going to do it in a simpler fashion. I can’t go through the whole thing.

SID: You’re going to pray a little portion

WARREN: A little portion

SID: The prayer that the prayer giving them.

WARREN: Yes

SID: Okay

WARREN: Of the priestly prayer of cleansing and consecration. So right now we ask you for forgiveness God, for all of our sins against you, we apply the blood of Messiah to us that we are totally clean before you. And now Lord, we give you every part of our body, our mind, our hands, our hearts, our mouths, our, our, our, our feet, Lord God that they might be used for your glory and purposes. Lord God.

WARREN: So right now we just pray that you take us. We want to give ourselves to you willingly to submit ourselves to you, that we might become the holy temples that your Shekinah glory could come and dwell in. So now Lord, I ask you to bring the glory, your glory, and begin to put right in us, upon us, within us and flowing out of us, the supernatural power that you have right now. Just keep, just keep saying this. Even when we’re off the air, just keep saying more of you, God, less of me, more God, more of you, more than ever before, we want more of you, Lord, we don’t want to just be ordinary people. We want to be the temples of the living God that you said we are more of you. And if you have the guts none of me and all of you, Lord God, just fill me to overflowing praise you, Lord. [foreign language] praise you, Lord God.

WARREN: Thank you. Lord glory, glory, glory.

SID: An atheist and a top-level Buddhist.

DALE: So my wife had been ministering and talking to the Buddhist who was asking questions. The atheist was interrupting, putting down the things I’ve got. I walked up to greet them, and I looked at the man and [he] told me his name, I said, “When I look at you I see you running like two miles, like a runner.” He opens up his coat, it says, “5K.” He was still running. And I said, “But you tell me something about me,” because he told me he was a Buddhist. And he said, “I can’t.” I said, “I know. Your God’s dead.” I thought he should know that.

SID: My goodness, you don’t mince words, do you?

DALE: The atheist turned to me and said, “Well, tell me something about me.” I thought, “If he’s bold enough to ask, I’m bold enough to go for it.” And I said, “God, give me something.” Now this is a key that any believer can access. If you ask God to give you something, he’s a good Father, if you ask for bread, He will give you bread. He’s that good. So God gave me some living bread. I saw his backbone out of line. It’s important to share what you see. I said, “I see your backbone out of line. Is there something out of line in your family?” He said, “No, I actually have a back problem.” I said, “Can I pray for you?” The atheist bowed his head, as I laid my hand on his back, to a God he didn’t believe in. And as soon as he lifted up his head, his hand went like this, he started going… His mouth dropped open. He started rubbing his backbone. Before I could say another word, it went, ding, “Everybody to your seats. The airplane’s taking off.”

SID: I’m wondering what went on in the mind of this top-level Buddhist watching all this going on.

DALE: We are not at the mercy of people’s opinion when we have an experience with God.

SID: You wrote a book, and I love the name of the title, And David Perceived He Was King. What was God’s purpose for you writing this book? And you told me you didn’t really write it, it was almost dictated to you.

CINDY: A man came in who was Iranian and he told us that his family was in government so we knew that he was Muslim. We don’t have anything on our tent about God or Jesus or anything because we don’t want to wall them up, we just want the language. God told us, “Identify me by my attributes instead of by my name.” We said, “Come and get the shame-taker, mercy, truth, ancient one, all these things.” He came in, he wanted a spiritual reading and we said, “Well, sit down in the chair and you ask the spirit of truth to come.”

SID: Rather than Holy Spirit, you say Spirit of truth.

CINDY: Spirit of truth.

SID: That’s the another name for the Holy Spirit.

CINDY: That’s right and he did. By invitations said, “Spirit of truth, come.” Then he went into a trance. That began to bother me a little bit, because I was like, “I’m not sure about this,” so I got behind him and began to pray in the Spirit.

CINDY: He began to shake and cry. I said, “What do you see?”

CINDY: He said, “I see light.” Then he began to weep sobbing, weep.

CINDY: I said, ‘What do you see?”

CINDY: He said, I see Jesus.

CINDY: We said, “Embrace the one who’s revealing himself to you.” He got born again that moment. It reminded me of many Muslims, how many people are coming to the Lord through their dreams, that Jesus is showing up in their dreams.

SID: You can teach people—

CINDY: Yes.

SID: How to understand the language of dreams.

CINDY: Yes. Mm-hmm (affirmative).

SID: Tell me real quick, one quick story, how about the woman with the scars?

CINDY: Yes. She was a cutter. A woman came into our camp. She was from a different country and at Burning Man, they come from all over the world, and she had scars all up and down her arms. We found out that she had been abused since she was three by her family members, by other people around her. She had so much pain, she just would cut, and we find this to be true a lot. So we asked her, “Would you like to have a brand new start? Would you like an organic restart? Welcome to your new life.”

CINDY: Then He said, “They don’t like Christianity,” and He said, “They don’t like powerless Christianity.” We started this thing called PUSH that was pray until something happens.

SID: I like that.

CINDY: Yes. And that’s exactly what we did. It was interesting. We started with around 10 people in a very small town and it dwindled down to about four.

SID: So you had what’s called a membership drive. You drove them out.

CINDY: Yes. A Gideon revival, right? It was an Exodus and it only took four of us really to begin to pray. We prayed so specifically and we asked God to just show up, just do, take over. All the sudden, really, from one Sunday to the next, probably within a three-month span, our services went from dull, boring, everyone sitting in the same seat every Sunday, whatever, to everyone was on the floor. Everyone was laughing. People were getting all kinds of revelation. The prophetic began to kick in, the Holy Spirit was filling our church with His presence. People were coming from the city, now we’re in a small town, so in a small town, people know what you do, right?

SID: Of course.

CINDY: We even knew what our kids did before they got home because somebody’d heard about it. But when this began to break out people begin to get healed of everything. These are people that were heavily addicted to meth, they were meth dealers and they were creating meth in their homes. They heard about it, they came in, they got completely healed. We had a woman who was very strung out on drugs and she pulled to the parking lot.

CINDY: It was very interesting. I’d had a dream the night before and in the dream, I was driving a Ford Explorer, which I didn’t have. I didn’t have a Ford Explorer so I knew it had symbology. I was passing waterways and I was watching fish jump in these waterways. I had a fishing pole in my Ford Explorer in my dream. I pulled over to the side and I thought, “I’m going to put my line in the water and see if I can catch a fish.” When I put my line in, I pulled up a huge bottom fish.

JENNIFER: And so April 9th, 1906, William J. Seymour, that’s the African American, blind in one eye, man of prayer who hid under the box. He was preaching on Acts chapter two before he’d even had his own baptism of the Holy Spirit encounter. He’s preaching about it because the word of God says so. As he is preaching, this woman named Jennie Evans Moore falls to the ground in the spirit, starts speaking in tongues. She gets up out of her seat, goes over to the piano, sits and plays in the anointing, never played the piano in her life. And that was the catalyst of what later was known as the Azusa Street Revival.

SID: This affected the whole world. And I’m told that it didn’t remain just black. It was probably the first black, white congregation in America where the racial divide … not only could people play the piano in the glory and not only could children play hide and seek because the glory was visible to the eye and they would just disappear in these clouds, but people would get their destiny there and … and go to the four corners of the earth. Tell me some of the stories you’ve heard about that revival.

JENNIFER: Oh yeah. People would come from around the world to Azusa Street, which is the place they moved into in Los Angeles a week after that because the front porch fell through because too many people came. But they came from around the world, not necessarily to see a famous preacher or to hear an amazing worship band, but they wanted an all consuming encounter with God. And they would wait and tarry in that place until they had this experience, at that time known as the baptism of the Holy Spirit.
