L.A:  Well we were sitting on this very large platform at this Houston Astrodome.  By the way Sid, thanks for having me on, I appreciate it.  And we were on this very large platform, the orchestra was below but elevated above the throngs of people on the floor of the Houston Astrodome.  And behind us, behind the orchestra was a dais, the only way you could describe it, it was a very large dais.  And the members or the so called holy family were seated there.  Guru Maharaj Ji has three brothers and a mother; they were all seated below him and the guru was on the very top part of this dais with a very large crown on his head.  And what amazed me as one of the orchestra members looking behind me at the so called holy family is they no longer looked, and I know that this sounds incredibly strange, but they no longer looked entirely human there was a power that was emanating from the members that were there.  A power that at the time I had no idea what I was looking at, I figured like wow this really is God, look at this power.  Since that day which is decades ago I would couch that and completely different terms, but they were in essence something was coming through, something was manifesting for those that had eyes to see.  We were very close, so to me it was very evident that what was there was something more than human.

Sid:  You know what I believe?  I believe that same thing to you where you could see that it was such a supernatural power on these gurus is the same thing that if you had eyes to see that if you looked at Adolph Hitler or Mussolini they didn’t kill or Stalin.  They didn’t kill multitudes on their own, they had supernatural evil help.

L.A:  Absolutely, there are documented testimonies from people who talk about Hitler sort of stumbling up to the platform not looking disheveled, but certainly not filled with power.  And as Trevor Ravenscroft quotes in his book, “It was like a fire hose somehow being hooked into the furor and all of a sudden he was just filled with this energy and this passion.”  Of course it comes out in his speeches.

Sid:  So you see this power, this evil power coming out of them.  Did you realize that it was evil at the time?

L.A:  Well, no again I didn’t have a discernment to figure what it was that I was looking at but I did see it and I assumed it was benevolent.  We see this kind of assumption for many people, just because they see something supernatural they assume and unfortunately maybe to their own peril that what they are seeing is benevolent is good.  But unless a person knows how to test the spirits, they can easily be deceived and so was I decades ago.

Sid:  Okay, you get a hold of a book “Cult Explosion” by David Hunt and this book convinces you that something was really wrong in everything you were involved in.  Why did it convince you of this?

L.A:  Why I was reading Hunt’s book which really a game changer for me; I’m reading it and I’m going “Yeah, I’ve been there, looked at that, dabbled in this, joined that one.”  You know we talked about Silva mind control and you know I went through the course and at the end of the course they hand you a card and on that card is a person’s name, you have no idea what’s wrong with him.  But I went down into what was called my little room there, my little laboratory and took my spirits guides and we diagnosed a person correctly and that’s how I passed this little mind control test.  At the time thought that all this was wonderful and good and at the time I was reading Hunts book, this was about a decade after I began my journey into the New Age.  I was empty, completely empty and just looking for God crying out for God, didn’t even know whether He existed or not; was completely disillusioned with anything spiritual; certainly with Yeshua, just didn’t want anything to do with Him.  But at the end of that book Hunt gave a little just a little prayer to say if you wanted to have Jesus come into your heart.  And I was alone in my room, seated on the chair, no one was there and there was no arm twisting, no one on television, you know telling me to lay your hands on the television set, nothing like that.  Very quiet, just myself and this book in this room and this was my prayer.  I said, “You know Jesus, I don’t even know if you exist or not buy if you do, please come into my life and change me.”  And then I paused dramatically and waited you know for the big lightning bolt.  Nothing happened at all.  A month after that I awakened from a very very troubling and disturbing dream and that was the beginning of the game changer in my life where the Lord began to pull me out of what I would say darkness and the camp of the fallen one, Satan and move me into the light, into His kingdom.  And it was a very difficult battle for a number of years.

Sid:  And do you know what I find interesting, everything you’re saying is so parallel with my life.

L.A:  Ha-ha.

Sid:  I was involved in the Silva Mind Control and the New Age and I got a hold of book by McCandliss Phillips called “The Jew the Bible and the Supernatural.”  And as it said, it is an abomination of God for anyone to be involved in the New Age, but it’s worse for a Jew because we Jews are under a covenant with God.

L.A:  That’s right.

Sid:  And as a result of that book someone gave me something called “The Four Spiritual Laws.”  I read it, I said a prayer of salvation, nothing happened and in my case I figured “Well, it just didn’t work.”  But then in most desperate moment I prayed a prayer out of desperation “Jesus help”, and I knew enough at that moment that has lasted me forty years that Jesus is real.  I don’t know if it was that dramatic for you but it is the most, I’m amazed at the parallels and I also found something else I don’t recommend anybody touch the poison of the New Age.  But those that did before they were believers it’s almost like God equipped me with a supernatural discernment to know the difference.  Whereas most Christians don’t know the authentic or the counterfeit, I absolutely have been given a gift from God to know the difference. How about you?

L.A:  I would certainly concur, I look at everything that I have been through as sort of boot camp training grounds for what I do today and it’s a full time ministry and constantly telling people about the deception which is really all around us, that the fact that the supernatural is manifesting in ways that are unprecedented.  Most people aren’t aware of some of these events but they are happening.

Sid:  And they are happening on both sides good and evil supernatural and yet most people aren’t aware of its happening and most people don’t know the difference between the two.  It’s like if a blind man leads another blind man; let me tell you briefly about a dream I had last night.  In this dream someone was chasing me and I was hiding from them and someone walked up to me when I finally got away from the person that was chasing me and they said, “What does all this mean?”  And I knew the answer and I said to him three times, “Jesus is coming back soon, Jesus is coming back soon, Jesus is coming back soon.”  Then I woke up.

Sid:  My guest is red hot for the Messiah and there’s something when I get together with a Jewish Believer that’s red hot for the Messiah anything can happen.  And I’ve known Jonathan so many years that I can’t remember. Jonathan Bernis how long have we’ve been friends?

Jonathan:  Sid, we met in 1983 so figure out the math, I think twenty-five years.

Sid:  Like it’s our anniversary, ha-ha and Jonathan for those that aren’t that familiar with you he’s currently Executive Director of Jewish Voice Ministries International.  And Jonathan and I were at one of the most historic points in Jewish evangelism in history which we’ll be talking about a little later, but give me the thumbnail sketch of how a nice Jewish drug dealer who wants to make a million dollars before he’s age thirty becomes sold out for Jesus the Messiah.

Jonathan:  You remember all that huh Sid?  Yeah, I had very little interest in religion of any kind. I went through the typical Jewish upbringing bar-mitzvah, and so on. Absolutely lost interest in synagogue life, but I knew that there was something more.  The name of one of your books is “There Must be Something More.” I knew that there was something more to this life but I was searching in all the wrong places.  Drugs, Eastern Mysticism, Hare Krishna the list goes on, every cult and occult experience you can imagine and…

Sid:  It reminds me of the scripture Jonathan that talks about Jewish people and it says “We have a zeal for God but not according to knowledge.”  So this build in zeal has to be satisfied somehow if no one will tell us about Jesus.

Jonathan:  Exactly and God is in the supernatural realm so we’re searching in all the wrong supernatural places.  The problem of course Sid is the one that’s taboo for Jewish people as you, and I know is believing in Jesus, you can believe in anything and still be Jewish but Jesus.  And if you believe in Jesus you’ve converted, you’re a traitor to the Jewish people.

Sid:  And you know what I find interesting Jonathan is, no one told me as a Jew, don’t believe in Jesus, Jewish people don’t believe in Jesus, but I knew it just as if I’d heard a whole lecturer on it.  Yet I don’t believe anyone ever told me that.

Jonathan:  That’s because Judaism in America is defined as much by what we don’t believe as what we do believe.  And it’s just becomes from the time you’re knee high a known truth that Jews don’t believe in Jesus, that we believe in one God and Christians have three God’s.  It’s very much an, us and them mentality.  That’s due to a 2,000 year legacy of anti-semitism and persecution against the Jewish people in the Name of Christ and Christianity.

Sid:  Now, tell me about this crazy friend of your that you just didn’t want her see destroy herself anymore, then had such a dramatic change that it astounded you.

Jonathan:  Well, one of my drug buddies in college for two years, it’s a girl named Suzie, and she got heavier and heavier into drugs to the point where you know we’re blind to our own use. It was clear to me that she was headed down fast and I lost touch with her.  She had dropped out of school and she was on the road to destruction.  I wasn’t able to see my own road to destruction, but hers was very obvious.  So I lost touch with her and she reappeared in my life a number of months I bumped into her on campus.  And she, I immediately noticed a change in her whole countenance Sid.  She was smiling, she looked clean, I just knew something was different about her and I made the mistake of asking what happened to her; and she told me and told me.  She witnessed to me every day, she called me every day, I didn’t notice this at the time but she had her church and Bible study praying for me and this is how my life began to change.

Sid:  But there was one very interesting moment where you went to a Bible study, why in a zillion years would you go to a Bible study?

Jonathan:  Sid, that’s a good question, I have no idea why I went.  I had no intension of going, after a couple of weeks of witnessing to me over the phone she asked me about this study which was a study on the Book of Revelation and the last days.  And I meant to say no and out of my mouth came yes, it had to be the prayer, the power of prayer.  I say this that, “God honors free will, but He stacks the deck.”  And I was obviously being changed by the power of prayer, and ended up going to the study that I had no intention of going to.

Sid:  Well, how’d you like this study?  What did the people look like that were there?

Jonathan:  I hated it, I felt out of place; the people I thought were staring at me, they were squeaky clean born-again Christians, but that was not. That was not of interest to me so I felt really out of place and I couldn’t wait for the thing to end.  The thing that is though is that God had ordained for me to be there.  When the meeting ended I was taken upstairs by the teacher of the study and other man that had come up to me and introduced himself in the beginning of the study kissed me on the cheek and asked me if I knew Jesus?   And I stammered out something, I didn’t know what to say, but they took me through what Christians call the Roman’s road that talks about sin and the wages of sin.  There’s a misconception Sid that Christians have about Jewish people, that we all know the Bible perfectly so there’s an apprehension to share the scriptures with us.  It’s totally false, I had never read my own scriptures let alone the New Testament, never read the Old Testament. When they confronted me with the truth of the separation from God, I had a supernatural experience.

Sid:  Tell me about that.

Jonathan:  Well I didn’t see anything, I didn’t hear any voices or see an angel, but I felt the separation from God, I felt the weight of my own sin.  The presence of God came into that room and I felt conviction all over me and I experienced for the first time in my life a spiritual battle going on inside of me; something told me this is true.  This the way to go and of course the other voice said, no you have your own life, your own goals, your own ambitions, this isn’t for you.  Because I knew intuitively that it meant leaving behind the old life and I was enjoying it a whole lot to be honest, but I just couldn’t leave that room without praying with them.  Really to get this pressure off of me, so I prayed with them, this was now twenty-eight years ago Sid and I went home and I tried to forget it but I couldn’t forget it and that began the very date my life began to change.

Sid:  And today of course you are a Messianic Jewish Rabbi and you’re Executive Director of Jewish Voice Ministries and you travel the nations telling everyone everywhere the good news about the Messiah.  Let’s divert just for a moment we’ll pick up there on tomorrow’s broadcast because Jonathan and I were at one of those historic moments in the history of planet earth in God’s dealing with men. We’ll talk about that on tomorrow’s broadcast.  But I have your new book here, literally just off the press, it’s called “A Rabbi Looks at the Last Days,” and I love the first chapters title “What if everything you’ve been told about the last days is wrong?”  We’ll we’ve been told so many things about the last days Jonathan that something has to be wrong.

Jonathan:  That’s right because these books have to be constantly updated. It’s so dangerous Sid to be dogmatic about things concerning the last days because no one know for sure, we’re not to know the hour, we’re not to know the hour, we’re not to know the time.  We do know the season, the bible says very clearly that we’re to know the season and we’re clearly in the season.  But I think that many of the things that end-time teachers are focused on really are nebulous, they’re hazy, they’re difficult to discern with clarity, but there’s very clear black and white statements of Jesus and the prophets concerning the last days that are being fulfilled before our very eyes today.  And I think that the majority of Christians totally overlook some of the clear black and white statements of the last days, and I’m excited to see these in prophecy and to look around and realize there being fulfilled before our very eyes now and most Christians don’t even realize it.

Sid:  Now, why did you write this book Jonathan?

Jonathan:  Sid, I wrote the book because for twenty-eight years, I have been immersed in end time prophecy teaching and twenty-eight years ago I was told that that the end was around the corner within days.  And I came to believe Sid that most end-time teachers are focused on end-time events that are very nebulous.  And in other words, there apocalyptic, and there hidden, and they’re symbolic so they’re very difficult to interpret with absolute clarity, and you can’t be dogmatic about it.  Yet as I’ve read the prophets and the words of Jesus I’ve found prophecy after prophecy black and white prophecy concerning the last days that’s being fulfilled before our very eyes.  And many of these prophecies are completely overlooked by these end time teachers and most Christians seem to not be even aware of some of them.  And so I wrote the book to inform Christians; it’s a very positive book, the best Sid is yet to come because there are very positive prophecies that are being fulfilled before our very eyes that are clearly revealed that we’re in the last days.

Sid:  Well, I’ll tell you that with the times that we’re living in right now that is a breath of fresh air, but the thing that makes me excited is your book also really reveals.  It’s wonderful that we’re in the end times; it’s wonderful that Jesus is going to come soon. However, are we going to fulfill our call, our individual call for the last days? I believe your book gives a lot of insight into that.

Jonathan:  It’s also why I wrote it Sid, because it’s not only being aware of these Bible prophecies being fulfilled, but the Church is to be – Christians are to be coworkers with the living God with the Spirit of God to bring about the fulfillment of some of these prophecies.  So it’s not about cheering from the sidelines and saying “Oh boy Jesus is about to return and doing nothing”, it’s about every Christian listening to this program fulfilling their destiny.

Sid:  But I love the title for the first chapter, “What if everything you’ve been told about the last days is wrong?”

Sid:  We are living in the days of Joel Chapter Two and Joel Chapter Three, we are living in the days that there is going to be such a mighty outpouring of God’s Spirit that it will be like the first church, the very first believers, the least believer in the Messiah could walk in the Supernatural to the point that the Catholic Church would declare them a Saint today.  But that’s normal, I want to be normal, I want you to be normal and there’s a missing ingredient you see we spend 1/3 of our life sleeping.  What if in that state where we’re so open to God’s speaking to us he spoke to us in dreams that we really understood, he would tell us about perhaps disaster that might be coming.  He would redirect our jobs or what we do for a living; He would give us solutions to problems.  He would give us direction, he’d give us Devine inspiration and my guest Mark Virkler says that he can even give us gifts in dreams we perhaps will get into that a little later in the broadcast.  But Mark on yesterday’s broadcast we found out that your first fifteen years of ministry you thought all dreams were pizza, you were too pragmatic, too logical and if you couldn’t figure out you were not going to speculate.  And then you came under the ministry of Reverend Herman Riffle who lived for ninety-three years and studied dreams and understanding and he gave you insight; then your whole life changed at least 1/3 of your life changed where you slept you began receiving a dream a week and understood it.  You told me before we went on the air that God gave you a prophetic word for our listeners.  Tell me that.

Mark:   Alright, I was journaling a couple of days ago and here’s what the Lord said.  He said, “My children can have direct ongoing living encounter with me that includes hearing me throughout the day as well as during the night.  I speak through my still small voice as well as through dreams and visions; I give myself to my children daily.  I am not a God who holds back, I give Myself completely to my children daily; I hunger for them to hear and see, they can hear and see.  Many do hear and see and you are teaching them how to hear and see more clearly.  Raise their faith and awareness of my voice to them through their dream.  Call them into faith, call them into belief for all responds to faith and belief; I respond to faith and belief.  If they will believe for me to speak to through their dream then they will receive; call them into faith and I will do the rest.

Sid:  Mark, we don’t have to be a prophet to recognize we are in the midst of and it seems to be getting progressively worse, tough economic times.  And if there’s every been a time that we have to take a third of our life that is normally wasted, except our body is restored and be able to hear from God and get redirection etc.  But one of the things I like about your course and it’s three CD’s five sessions and a workbook called “Hear God through Your Dreams” as you are very very foundational in scripture in fact you go thoroughly at discussion of every dream in the Bible.  Tell me some of the scriptural basis for us to be looking expecting God to speak to us through dreams.

Mark:  Okay, well one verse would be Psalm 16:7 David says, “I will bless the Lord who has counseled me in deed in my inner man; (in Hebrew it’s kidneys) my inner being instructs me in the night.  So that’s a really clear verse saying God gives everyone of us instruction and counsel at night through our dreams.  He’s the Wonderful Counselor the Bible is full of Him giving wonderful counsel to people.  You just look at the birth of Jesus, I mean the wonderful counsel He gave to Joseph to go to Egypt; He counseled him to come back to Egypt.  He counseled through a dream he told the wise men not go back to Herod, this is all wonderful counsel from the Wonderful Counselor protecting you and directing you so that you take the right steps to avoid calamity and are able to walk into the destiny that God has for you.

Sid:  Well, you teach a bit about how we literally can have a covenant established with us through dreams.

Mark:  Well, that’s a powerful story, it’s Genesis 15 and it’s the Abrahamic Covenant and God is entering into a Covenant with Abraham and of course the first covenant which is of course the Old Testament.  And what I didn’t even notice for years is that that happened in a dream.  God starts with a vision and then in the beginning of the chapter and then sends into a dream by the time you get into verse six or so and in this dream God show up, interacts with Abraham’s pretty afraid, he gets pretty terrified at one point, but that doesn’t mean it was a dream from Satan just because there was fear or terror there, it still was a dream from God.  And God specially said, “God entered into a Covenant with Abraham and then he awoke.”  And I thought what, I thought this was pizza and I’m finding out that God can enter into a covenant with me and with you and with our listeners and establish covenantal relationships with us in a dream?  I said, “His view of dreams is completely different than my view of dreams, I need to readjust my view of dreams.”

Sid:  Let me stretch you a little and maybe I won’t be stretching you.  But I have had guests say to me that when they dream many times they see themselves in another country and their ministering there and most people would think it was a dream but it was actually going on.  And then years later they go to that area they have never been there before, it’s actually the way it was in their dream and people say, “I saw you here and they’ve never even been there before!

Mark:   Well, that doesn’t stretch me okay, I think it’s exciting that…

Sid:  Have you ever heard of that?  Has that ever happened to you?

Mark:  Well, I’ve heard of that kind of thing happening, alright it hasn’t happened to me personally, I a little bit to left brain to probably go quite that far down the road of visionary encounter.  It seems like right brainers and prophets and prophetesses go further than left brainers do.  And that’s okay, I don’t have to be everything, I can be who I am and they can be who they are and we can team up and complement one another, prophets and teachers can get together.

Sid:  But that’s what makes you such a great teacher.  Anything you can do, anyone else can do because you can teach it.

Mark:  That’s our goal is to lay it out clear enough that anyone can do it.

Sid:  Okay, I have personally interviewed many people have given me charts of symbols and I have followed it and I’ve understood to a degree but I can honestly say it’s still multiple guess in many instances.  What’s wrong with me?

Mark:   I’m not sure any thing is wrong with you, okay, I’m you know I don’t go to a dream dictionary book to find out what these symbols mean.  I go to my own heart because my heart was the one drawing the pictures trying to communicate a message to me and I do believe the symbols are going to be different based on a person’s experience.  I mean if you look, I believe the symbols in your dreams are going to come out of your experiences.  You look at Joseph he’s a shepherd boy he lives in the open field.  The symbols in his dream are the symbols that surround him, it’s the sheaves bowling down, it’s a sun, moon and stars bowing down.  These are the symbols that surround a shepherd boy; his heart took those symbols wove them into a story for him and gave him a message.  Now when Nebuchadnezzar dreams, he’s a king who lives in a palace so he dreams of a statue of gold and iron and bronze and a little stone hitting it.  Well, what surrounds Kings who lives in palaces, statues of gold made out of themselves normally.  So you see the symbols were different based on the life of the person because the symbols come from the person’s heart, they do not come from a dream dictionary book in my estimation.  So see a person wants to ask their heart, hey what is that symbol mean to me?  I mean I grew up on a dairy farm, we had big red barn that meant a lot to me, I planned on being a farmer, if that big red barn shows up in my dream it means something unique to me.

Sid:  Why is it, I’m going to ask a question for myself right now, I have had several dreams in my life time that were absolutely literal, I did what God said and it came to pass.  And so as the pragmatist that I am said God, “Just give me literal dreams, but I feel like I’m wasting so much valuable information because of the symbolic dreams that I haven’t understood.

Mark:  Okay well you are right God can and does literal dreams, we have that in the Bible and He also gives symbolic dreams, the sun, moon and stars bowing down, that’s all symbolism; the sheaves that’s all symbolism.  You’re right if you missed that part then you’re missing an awful lot of counsel that you could be receiving.  So why don’t God just give us all literal dreams?

Sid:  That’s what I want!  Ha-ha-ha.

Mark:  Well, the Bible says that these are called dark sayings and what it is it’s your heart trying to communicate things to you that your mind wasn’t quite ready to accept in a really verbal approach, so your heart says let me give you some symbolism here and then you can pull out of it what you are ready to accept and what you’re not ready to accept we’ll just leave on the back burner and someday down the road and you’ll be ready to accept that.  So rather than forcing the message upon you it offers the message to you so if your heart is ready it will reach out and get it; if not it will just be on a back burner until you are ready for it.

Sid:  Now, one of the things that you urge people to do is to put a little pencil and paper next to their bed on say the table next to their bed.  Why do you do that, why can’t they just when they during their normal prayer time when they get up recall what they dreamt?

Mark:   Well, because they are probably not going to be able to recall stuff.  The simple act of putting that pencil and paper next to your bed you are communicating a message to your heart saying, “I take you seriously, I’m taking dreams seriously, and I’m letting you know if you are giving me a dream I will write it down when you give it to me.”  And your heart says, “Okay, he’s taking me seriously he doesn’t believe it’s a pizza dream anymore and because he’s taking me seriously I’m going to wake him up and remind him of the dreams, because if your heart does not wake you up…

Sid:  I can tell you this I find that I forget my dreams if I don’t write them down.

Mark:  That’s right and if your heart…

Sid:  Now my guest Pastor John Kilpatrick is red hot for the Messiah, Senior Pastor of Daphne Alabama Church of His Presence.  And those that are not familiar with John Kilpatrick, he was the Pastor on Father’s Day June 1995, Pensacola, Florida Brownsville Assembly of God.  They had an invasion of the Holy Spirit and during a five year period over 4,000,000 people from around the world came to that little sleepy town and went to that church.  Hundreds and thousands of people made rededications or professions of faith to believe in Jesus.  And it was what John, as you put it on yesterday’s broadcast you knew that there was more and you got it.

John:  Yes, I was just desperate, desperate for the Lord, you know not desperate for church, not desperate for religion, but I was desperate for the Lord.

Sid:  Now as a young man you were involved in prayer, I find that interesting.  You were being mentored by your pastor in prayer and it was a very tough time for your pastor; someone was trying to put him out of the church.  But there was one night that you had amazing visitation of angels.  Tell me about that.

John:  Well, my father left us whenever I was twelve years old and after he left us, from twelve until fourteen I just really was lost, I mean I was disoriented, I didn’t have a man in my life.  I had a mother and three sisters and so whenever my father left my brother-in-law married my sister and his father was a pastor and he was the pastor of the church there that we began going to.  And so after I was called to preach at fourteen years old, he took me under his wing and he asked my mother if he could take me and mentor me and teach me how to pray.  And I remember that I was standing there Sid, and I thought to myself, man I’m not called to pray, I’m called to preach, you know.  And so I began to go to those midnight prayer meetings with him, he had them every night.  I’m talking about seven days a week, even after church on Wednesday night, after church on Sunday night.  It started about 11:30 at night and that’s when the mill shift would get off, and the foundries, cotton mills and the foundries and all and the men would get off from work and they would come by and they’d wash up and they’d go in and pray with pastor.  And so I was the youngest guy there, and so we began to pray and I remember when I first started in those prayer meetings I was so lonely, a lot of times it was just me and him you know and I was lonely, I was a young boy fourteen years old.  I was full of life, I didn’t have a Dad.  We’d drive by a lot of times the ball fields and I see the ball fields’ lighted up you know and I’d be out there playing little league ball and I could hear the bat crack the ball and I thought I wish I could be out there on that ball field.  But I didn’t know then what I know now and I know that God had a plan for my life and I know that I wasn’t, couldn’t belong on that ball field but I belonged in those prayer meetings with Him.  And when I first started it was so new to me and I just couldn’t get adjusted to it but as I began to pray with him and as he began to teach me to pray and teach me about the presence I would never ever exchange one night of those prayer meetings for any other thing that I’ve ever been through in my life.

Sid:  Oh, you would not have prayed through the revival at Brownsville had you not been mentored as a young man.

John:  Exactly, and he was a prayer warrior; he was a German, he was a very brilliant man.  He had a very great mind, but he was humble, he was the most humble man that I’ve ever met.  And he walked with God; he was not a common pastor, this man walked with God.  And when he heard from God, it wasn’t hope so or maybe so, it was know so you could write it down.  And if he ever told you something that the Lord told him you could write it down because it was going to come to past, because the Lord told him.  And he didn’t know it but a lot of times he’d tell me things the Lord would tell him and I would go and I’d go and I’d sneak off and I’d write it down and I’d put it in my wallet and whenever it come to pass I’d take it out and check it off.  And there was never a time that he told me that the Lord told him something that I didn’t check it off.  But he was a powerful man of God and as I began to pray with him in those prayer meetings…

Sid:  Now by the way, when you prayed with him how did you pray?  Was it mostly in unknown tongues, was it with understanding?  What was the majority of your prayer like?

John:  Well, he would tell us to get all the gum out of your mouth, he would say, I don’t want you talking over in the corner when it’s time to pray, when it’s time to pray it’s time to pray.  I don’t want you fellowshipping, I want you to pray.  We usually pray in English you know and then there would be time in prayer meeting that the Lord would give a message in tongues and then there would be an interpretation of tongues.  Sometimes there would be a prophetic exhortation, but we would always pray with the lights out and there would range anywhere between just he and I in the prayer meetings up to thirty-five, thirty-eight, forty people in prayer meetings, just men.  And we would usually pray from like 12:00 at night, we’d gather about 11:30 but we’d pray from about 12:00 to 1:30 – 2:00 and I’d have to get up the next morning and go to school.

Sid:  I was going to ask you how did you go to school?

John:  I got use to no sleep early, I really did.  I’d get up and go to school and then I would work for him in the afternoons, he’d use me in some secretarial work you know answering phones and things like that and I’d work for him and then I’d stay with him all afternoon and then we’d pray that night.  And I’m telling you those prayer meetings Sid, was the most life changing experience.  Here’s what pastor knew that I didn’t know and here’s what a lot of pastors may not know and he knew this that no preacher is ever going to exceed his prayer life.  If he doesn’t have a prayer life his ministry will never exceed his prayer life.  You’ve got to have a prayer life, you’ve got to have a relationship and a walk with Christ in order to have a successful ministry.  And it’s like he told me so many times, and like I mentor ministers today, and like I tell them in the mentoring sessions.  You may have a ministry, but if you don’t have integrity you may have a ministry but you won’t have it in the long run, there’s a trip wire out there somewhere that’s going to trip you up.  You’ve got to have a personal relationship with the Lord.  And the way you develop that is by prayer and by meditation and by spending time with the Lord.  And I saw him as an example, a living breathing example through those years of in prayer and I remember how he would always take off his coat and take off his tie and you could see that white shirt in the dark, you could see it disappear behind that last pew on the left hand side of the auditorium and there he would be for the next hour and a half, two hours.  And sometimes he would pray in English, sometimes in tongues, sometimes you’d hear him groaning just like an animal; just groaning and interceding.

Sid:  He reached into the realm that’s called travailing, yes it was definitely travailing, I have heard him do it many times.  And I still hear those sounds in my head to this day, and I was with him from the time that I was fourteen.

John:  Tell me about that very unusual night when you were fifteen years of age.

Sid:  Well, he had had to stop revival in the church because an evangelist had, he suspected an evangelist of some behavior that wasn’t right.  And so he cancelled the revival and closed it down and when he did the evangelist began to work against the pastor in the church and caused some problems.  So much problems that he was going to resign.  So this particular night he told all of us, there was seventeen of us that night in the prayer meeting and he told us, he said, “I’m going to take a church in Woodhaven, Florida.”  And whenever he said that it just devastated me, I mean I couldn’t even talk, because this man had become my life.  And the first thought that came into my mind was, “Well I’ll just catch a city bus and I’ll catch a city bus and I’ll go home,” because I don’t want him to see me crying.  And the other thought was, “Well you know I’ll just walk home,” but it was too dangerous, it was back there in the sixties and there was a lot of rioting and burning around the church and it was just too dangerous for me to walk home.  So I remember I felt trapped in the church, but I didn’t know as I felt trapped and I couldn’t leave, I didn’t feel like there was any options.  I didn’t know what God was about to do in the next few minutes and there was seventeen of us there that night and they started to pray and they didn’t pray over just a few minutes and I began to see them gather up around the front of church around the altars.  And I heard one man say, well, I think I’m going to put on my shoes and go to the house and they hadn’t even been praying fifteen minutes which was highly unusual.  But the church was filled with just a lot of heaviness because the pastor was going to be leaving and he was going to be leaving under not good terms.  He was hurt, he was broken hearted, I was broken hearted, we all were and so the prayer meeting just came to an abrupt halt and about that time a holy hush just came into the sanctuary.  And about that time as I felt that Holy hush come into the sanctuary I joined the others, I was setting out in the auditorium in the dark and I had joined the others up on the altar.  And as we sat there, on the altar bench just bam the power hit our two front doors of the sanctuary and they were locked five ways.  They were locked with a deadbolt, pins jammed in the top, pins jammed in the bottom a key beneath the doorknob and a deadbolt latch; it was locked five different ways.  And a power hit those doors and both of those big front doors of the church busted open, just burst open.  And in off the porch, what one angel and came and stood where Brother Wetzel had just been praying a matter of minutes before; he stood right there where he was praying.  And then after him came another one and he stood on the right hand of the sanctuary and he stood right next to a bookcase where I started the church library.  And I remember that big angel was so big standing beside that bookcase it made that bookcase look so small.  And I was fifteen years old when I saw this, and I was thinking in my mind, just my fifteen year old mind, my God I have never seen anything so big.  They were not dressed like regular angels, they were dressed like warriors, I saw no weapons; there were no wings, they never addressed us, we never addressed them, but they were just standing there and those doors were wide open.  And I remember saying to myself, “Jesus I’m dreaming.”  I put my hand up to my face and touched my face and when I did I knew I wasn’t dreaming because I could feel my hand on my face.  I lifted my eyes and I looked back over to the left and to the right and there stood those angels.  And they didn’t stay but just a few minutes; it seemed like just a few minutes, but evidently it was a little bit longer.  And just like they received a cue from another world, the first one that come in turned just like a soldier and he marched toward the center aisle and he turned just like…

Sid Roth:  But then, what happened at your next prayer meeting?  Were out of time, but John from a visitation of God he’s been given a prophetic insight for what is going to happen starting this year and in the near future and he has a special series on “Angels Enforcing Blessings.”

Sid:  Understatement for my guest, Evangeline Weiner.  Evangeline you were raised and faith was normal for you.  And that’s why I’m so excited about your book “A Calling of a Generation,” because your book is just loaded with testimonies of people that had impossible situations, but they were able to achieve their destiny.  And there are people listening to us right now with impossible situations, but they are able to achieve their destiny and then the teaching that you have in this book, this is like normal for you; it just bubbles out of you.  But I interviewed a young man by the name of Jason Westerfield who used to go out to the Yale University campus and witness and you’ve been out there witnessing; tell me about one of the occasions.

Evangeline:  Yeah, absolutely.  Yeah we were down there and I actually live down there too for three months and Jason and Jessica one day and we were going down to the bookstore and Jason said, “I feel like there is going be a miracle here, right in front of the bookstore where God’s about to show someone.”  And so this guy walked by who was on crutches and he said, “That’s him.”  And so we went up and we just said, “You know, what happened to your leg and can we pray for you?”  And he said, “Yeah, I would love it, you know that it’s so weird that I’m walking by here, I never come here and I had the weirdest feeling that as I drove by to pull over and get out.”  And anyway so we prayed for him and then he stood there and you know there was no signs of a healing and he looked at the man that we prayed for and he said, “What are you thinking?”  And I said, “Well, I’m wondering if you can walk.”  And he said, “All right,” so he took off his cast and he started walking and he was healed.  You know as he started crying, I just saw a picture of this man’s life you know and you know really just in your mind’s eye.  What that means is I just saw really a picture of him and I saw him you know standing in front of all these people and different things and I just started describing to the man what I was seeing and praying for him.  And he started crying and crying and saying “You won’t believe it, he said, that’s an actual dream that I had over ten years ago and I felt like that’s something that I was supposed to do with my life and I haven’t done it and I’ve hidden it and no one has ever heard this and he was just crying.  And as he felt faith for what God had, and so I think that day that not only was the leg restored but God restored a vision to him that you know maybe he had tucked away for over ten years and never told anyone.  And the supernatural power of God goes beyond anything we think is going to happen so it was amazing to see that guy’s life change.

Sid:  And for those that are perhaps tuning in for the first time, you were literally raised by going to campaigns with your parents Bob and Rose Weiner in Russia and in Ukraine and in Indonesia and so miracles are common place.  There are some people listening to us right now, especially there is someone with cancer that I believe is about ready to be healed, would you pray for people to be healed right now Evangeline?

Evangeline:  Yeah, absolutely, Lord, I just ask right now for each and every person listening that has an illness in their body.  Lord, we pray for recreative miracles for You to go in and recreate where even I hear someone saying right now, but I need this, I need that and there is no hope, and you need a recreative miracle.  And so right now, in the name of Jesus we pray for a recreative miracle, Lord I thank you, that it’s not by power or by might, but it’s by the Spirit and so Lord, I just thank you that by Your stripes we are healed and we claim each and every person that’s listening.  Lord, just that healing Lord that You promised that as You died on the cross you promised that You’d heal us of our sins and of all of our diseases and Lord, even right now I fell that there is someone who has unforgiveness towards people.  And ask God even about that area, if you feel that that’s you, even to let go and forgive that person, because often times that can hold us from receiving our healing, so just ask God about that.  There is somebody that has that.

Sid:  And I rebuke that spirit of cancer right now in Jesus name and I command healing to flow, healing , healing like a river in Jesus name and I thank Your Father that others are being healed right now.  I see people with pain in their back, in their neck, if you will just demonstrate your faith by moving your head if you have a neck ache or moving your back or if there’s any part of your body that has pain right now, move it right now and you’re going to move right into the precious anointing of God and no pain can co-exist in that anointing in Jesus name.  You know Evangeline the thing that my reviewer saying that they love about your book is your teaching.  I wonder if you can take a few minutes and teach us a little bit more about how we can increase our faith.

Evangeline:  Yeah, absolutely and even as we started on you know on a program a day or two ago; you know the first step is that God has given everyone a measure of faith.  And we all have a measure of faith and sometimes we wait until we feel like we’re Billy Graham or some spiritual person, whoever that is that we see that’s spiritual.  But God just wants us to step out and begin to exercise our faith.  And we’re never going to see the result before we step out and Number two is exercise your muscle of faith daily through stepping in you know obedience.  And often the Holy Spirit will give us something that we feel led to do and even many are saying, “Oh I felt that before.”  And you know we are not going to see it until we step out and just do it and that’s the way of increasing your faith.”  You know it’s like a muscle, you have to exercise it you know, we can get weaker and weaker physically if we don’t exercise, but as you exercise even your muscle of faith you’ll begin to see your faith grow.  Thirdly, you know we walk by faith and not by sight so don’t look at the circumstances surrounding your life, because they don’t determine what happens and you’ll never look at a circumstance and see what God wants to see because He doesn’t work in the natural perspective.  And so begin to just walk in faith and not look at the circumstances and you know “The word of the Lord is settled forever, and it stands firm.”  That’s what it says in Psalm 119 and also in Isaiah it says, “It will never return void, but will accomplish what God sends it to do.”  So as you step out in faith and obey what the Holy Spirit asks you to do or you know even in your life in situations He’ll meet you there, He promises to meet us there.  And in four, number four is pray and ask God to reveal His promise for you in your life, write down what you are specifically visualizing.  And you know this is really important, you know for faith in our life is we you know want to see His promises fulfilled for what He’s called us to do; you know just to begin to see it as it already is.  That’s a huge thing of faith is a lot of times people will picture the negative or picture the situation of disappointment or different things. Like if you are believing for a healing or you’re believing for a job they’ll often see themselves without a job or without the healing, but begin to just picture what you want to see.  You know align yourself with what the Word of God says.  You know He says His promises won’t return void and He promises you know to take care of us and promises to provide all of our needs in all of those things, so just begin to speak and to stand on what God’s promised.  Five says that, number five says thank the Lord that you’ve received it and what you’ve asked for and so it will be done.  So just begin to thank the Lord already you know, thank Him for your healing, thank Him for your job, thank Him for you know maybe a spouse that needs to know Him or thank Him for your children or whatever your believing for just begin to stand with Him, meditate on what your hoping for.  You know whatever we plant seeds for in our mind or you know the thoughts of our heart, they’ll grow, they’ll grow a good crop or a bad crop, and so we want it to produce a crop of hope and of faith and not produce negative things that aren’t going to produce it.  Number six, hold the specific thing desired in your mind and attach an emotion to it, and this was even in Dr. Cho’s book, “The Fourth Dimension.”  You know he talked about how he would just begin to picture, He asked first God for a bike, a chair, and a desk and he would just ask Him for it.  And then the Lord said, “What kind do you want specifically so that you’ll know that I’m the one that did it.  And he began to describe that he wanted a red bike, he wanted a big chair, he wanted a mahogany desk.  He began to see the emotions, he began to really see exactly what he wanted and God provided each and everything according to the detail.  And you know I’ve tried this over and over again and man does it work, you know the Holy Spirit wants to show that it was Him who did it.  And so number six is hold this specific thing in your mind, that is what I just said, and number seven is to seek the kingdom of God first and His righteousness and all these things will be added unto you.  And so remember you know that as we seek first the Kingdom that God promises that He will add all these things to us.  So whether that’s something you’re believing for or a person you are believing for, or a healing you are believing for you know as we seek first the kingdom, you know don’t let that thing become an obsession but begin to seek first the kingdom and allow Him to work in it.

Sid:  Evangeline in your deepest recess of your heart, what was your motivation for writing the book “The Calling of a Generation?”

Evangeline:  You know really over the past few years I’ve had a real burden to see this generation of Christian young people especially rise up in faith and believe God for the impossible.  You know I’ve seen young people with a genuine calling from God who want to change the world but they get caught up in living a routine existence in just checking off life’s check list of you know of I went to school, I got a job, I married someone, I had two kids, I own a car, I own a house you know.  It’s easy for us to get caught up in that, but I believe God wants to you know, He wants us to dream and not to settle for a routine existence of going to church and trying to be a good and successful person.  And you know I do believe that the Kingdom of God suffers from this loss and so this book was written you know out of that, just wanting so see young people rise up and believe God in faith and not to settle for a routine existence.

Sid Roth: And whether you’re young or just young at heart all God needs is a little bit of time and a heart that is revitalized with a fire of God and this book will do it.   It’s called “A Calling of a Generation.”

Andre:  Yeah, this is really interesting.  I went to a club called “Wilson’s” it’s on the upper West side of New York and there’s a lot of stars that went there like Jack Hay.  And I don’t know if you know all these people, but there was a lady who was the MC and her name was “Pepsi Coco Reilly and her dad…

Sid:  Oh, I remember her well.  No, I’m just teasing.  Ha-ha.

Andre:  Her Dad was a Baptist minister and from what I understand at that point, this was about ten years ago, she had walked away from the Lord for what I understand.  But I got up to sing a song called, “Everything must change,”  and it’s not a Christian song, it doesn’t talk about Jesus it’s just an R&B standard and it’s about the seasons of life.  And so when I sang it the Spirit of the Lord fell in the room and people began to get impacted by the Spirit.  But the cool thing is that after I sat down Pepsi Coco Reilly grabbed the microphone and she began to preach and she said, “For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ it’s the power of God unto salvation.”  And I brought a couple of friends with me and they said, “Wow Andre this was better than church this morning.”  And I was like, “Yeah,” God loves these people and what I begin to understand is that God apprehended people who would never step into a church.

Sid:  And you know what, I think you’ll see better results ministering the Lord in a bar than you’ll see in church.  Tell me about the time the gold dust appeared.

Andre:  Oh, that was really fun, that was in the duplex and that was in the Village in New York City.  And someone had asked could I sing, “I Believe I Can Fly,” you know that song.

Sid:  I do now.  Ha-ha.

Andre:  I’m like sure I can sing it, and so I was sitting there and I looked down at my hands and all the way up my sleeves was gold dust and I thought to myself, I went, “God, where was I around glitter?”  And then when I realized I hadn’t been around glitter I said, “Lord what are you doing here?”  And he said Andre, “I’ve anointed you for this.”  And I’ve seen God do amazing things in these nightclubs where God just impacts people.

Sid:  And another thing that intrigues me about you because you carry such a presence of God wherever you go is God’s shown you things in the past that has come true such as what was going to happen to gas prices, the economy, but he told you that we’re going to have a revival in America.  But I’ve never heard this before but it witnesses to me as truth, we’re going to have revival of the fear of the Lord.  What does He mean by that?

Andre:  He’s going to release in the body of Christ such a reverential respect of who He is because if we really understood who God was we wouldn’t live the way we do, a lot of us.  If we understood who God was we would worship Him with a full, just everything abandon to Him.  And the Lord told me, He said “Andre you guys are praying for revival,” He said “I Am going to send revival,” He said, “But it’s the revival of the fear of the Lord, because the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom.”  And He said, “I can’t release the other things that I want to release because there’s not a reverential understanding of who I AM.

Sid:  Tell me about this song we’re going to play from your new CD that we’re about ready to release right now, “Called Before the Throne.”  Tell me about “Through the Rain.”

Andre:  Awe that song, I love that song actually, it’s talking about no matter what were going through in our life.  It’s my personnel testimony because I’ve been through some real hard times in my life, but in the midst of it all, I could see God even in the hard times, the Lord made Himself real to me and invited me to come and dance this dance of intimacy for eternity.

Sid:  By the way, tell me about your mother who rejected you at birth because you were born through a rape; whatever happened to her?

Andre:  My mother, she past into eternity in 1999, she came to a saving knowledge of the Lord.  I asked the Lord not to take her until she knew him and I believe He honored that.  He told me in February that He was going to take her and He took her in October.  And I know my mother is in a great cloud of witnesses.

Sid:   What do people say about this particular song that we are going to play right now “Through the Rain?”

Andre:  People love this song because I think it deals with everything that most of our human experience that we, you know that there are going to be hard times; there are going to be struggles.  But God is faithful to see us through that, you might go through the water, but you’re not going to drown, you might go through a fire, but you’re not going to burn.  The song has really ministered healing to a lot of people that even in the midst of hard times, God is there.

Sid:  Let’s hear that.

Andre “Alone with You.” Music excerpt 6:10

Sid:  Well Andre I feel like we’re out of the storm now because it’s raining glory of God, what’s God telling you?

Andre:  I feel that the Lord is raising up a people in that hour that are hungry for His presence.  Who are not satisfied with ordinary Christianity; who don’t want to live according to the status quo but will go after God with everything in them.  And in the midst of going after God will do great exploits for His Kingdom.  I believe we’re coming into a season where there’s a shift in the spiritual atmosphere and the Lord is inviting us higher.  And I believe that the scene’s is Revelation 4:1 where the Lord is saying “Come Up where I AM.”  Be sensitive to My Spirit, listen to My voice and move as I speak.

Sid:  Out of curiosity what do you do to achieve greater intimacy with God?

Andre:  I think I just try to stay dependent on Him and worship Him.  Like I feel if you don’t do it at home, you can’t do it in public you know and I’ve learned about abiding in the presence of God is not about what you do, it’s about whether you’re washing the dishes or raising the dead, you’re in the presence of God.  And learning to walk in His presence.

Sid:  Andre, can I push your gift?  Could you sing a little bit of a song of the Lord, a song that God’s going to give you right this second?

Andre:  Sure.  Song of the Lord “Be still and know that I AM God.”

Sid Roth:  My goodness the anointing just keeps getting stronger and stronger.  It reminds me of Jacobs’s dream where there was the ladder and he saw the angels coming up and down and I feel like we’re climbing up that ladder just a little closer, a little closer.  And that’s what I believe Andre what people listen to your music. “Before the Throne,” are you getting reports of people saying they are experiencing the presence of God when they listen to this CD?

Andre:  Oh definitely, actually someone told me I should put a disclaimer on the CD don’t listen to it while you’re driving, because the glory of God came and they almost went off the road.

Karen:  Well, I think that the first thing that I learned, which was hard to wrap my mind around was that the myths that are created in church about healing or the church world.  And churches are wonderful and unfortunately they are run by humans who are flawed and I was raised in all the churches that I’d ever gone to I heard and maybe it was something that was taught but it was what I heard was that healing was available for some and that ultimately God decides in His sovereignty if He heals or He doesn’t heal.  And that is not truth; that is absolutely not truth; the truth is that if it’s in His name it is in His will.  And since He is Jehovah-Rapha it must be His will to heal people.  He didn’t hang on a cross as the ultimate sacrifice and as a curse, so we don’t have to live with curses so that a few can have healing anymore than He hung on a cross so that some might have salvation; He hung that all.  Is everyone saved?  No, but the sacrifice was paid for all, the blood was spilled out for all of our healing.  Now it’s an exchange though, it’s not, you don’t go out to your mail box and go “Well, it didn’t come, well, we prayed for five minutes” and I think that we, are accustomed to or are around people in church or churches or our spiritual experience where people pray for a little bit.  Whooh and they get tired, they just don’t pray for much longer.  And so you know that Abraham, one of the greatest men in the Bible who died in faith, one of the greatest faith warriors of all time that we know of died without all the promises of God, but you know he died in faith.  And in Ephesians it says to put on the full armor of God and in the first two verses it says the words, stand four times.  So I think that we are suppose to stand, to not grow weary and we grow weary really quickly.  And in this great American world, we learn to live in our discomfort; we have things that can help our discomfort whether it is our homes or our economic situation of maybe a certain medicine.  Or but God paid the ultimate price for our complete healing and so you don’t have to know me, you don’t have to know you Sid, for God to work out your healing in your life.  He’s going to reveal that to you, He’s going to reveal that to you whatever you need to do, whatever you need to learn in the Word, as He reveals His Word through more revelation comes in partition and then comes the manifestation.  And He will walk that out, you know God gave us faith, but our faith has a destination, so it’s an action word.  I’m going to stand and believe, I’m going to do the things that God asked me to do, I’m going to stop doing the things that God said, “Stop doing that Karen.”  There were a lot of things that I just stopped doing.

Sid:  Give me an example of some of things that you had to stop doing.

Karen:  Wow, that’s a long list, I don’t think we have that much time, but I just stopped my behaviors, I just stopped drinking every night, I had to stop doing it my way, I had to stop and listen to Him, I had to stop playing God.  You know I had to stop playing church where I would just go in and drop in my check and then check that off, I went to church for an hour, that the Christ life is how you live every day.  I had to stop living two lives where I acted like a certain way at church and then I acted how I wanted to act in my real life.  That the Christian life is a great life, it’s full of joy, you know heaven is righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost, who wouldn’t want that.  And as God revealed Himself to me and that trust grew, that He would never leave or forsake me.  And what He’d done for me was just the beginning of what He did for me.  You know what He did for James was so great I felt like that was the end of it, but yet He continues to pour out His blessings on me.

Sid:  Just out of curiosity what kind of faith does James have right now?

Karen:  Well James is saved, he knows that God saved him and he believes that God will always protect him.  You know, he says, it you will talk to him he will say, “The devil tried to kill me and God stopped him and that can never happen again.”  And he is a very gentle young man; a few years ago he gave one of his Sunday School teachers a prophetic word about something that had happened in the ‘60s.  And you know that’s who God purposed for my life, that this gentle giant that raising up, not a child to eat the sheet rock and you know in all of that and all that breaking and breaking away of religion and man’s way, the love of man and pleasing man, I was the one who I believe got the most healing.  In that I felt that God stopped the Universe and reached down and said, “I love you Karen, I love you and we were all healed, our whole family was changed from this.”

Sid:  And now you say that “The devil goes after the brain and the mouth,” what do you mean by that?

Karen:  What I said about children was, I believe that children are most attacked when they sleep or their infirmed.  But you know just like in the Garden of Eden the permission that was granted to the enemy to enter into the Garden was thru one gate and that was through your mind.  You know the mind is the hardest thing to change and so if I can change my mind, then I can change my mouth.  But when I say you’re autistic, you’re dumb you’re eating the sheet rock, you’re sick, then I’m speaking death over my child.  And so I had to say you are healed, you are whole, you are well, you’re appropriate, you are grade level, you are successful, and these are things that we don’t speak of our children.  We speak the declarations of the doctor, we speak the declarations of the professionals or the teachers, and so when I can change those two things I’ve captured where the enemy can devour me.

Sid:  Give me an example of how you would speak these words over James, give me an actual example.

Karen:  Oh, I would just when he would tantrum or he was sick or he was misbehaving I would just say, “You are well, you are complete, you do not do those things in Jesus holy name.

Sid:  Yeah, but when he kept doing it, didn’t you get discouraged, didn’t you stop saying those things of what you really wanted him to be.

Karen:  No, I could not get discouraged, we had come too far, in my mind I got discouraged but in my mouth I was still speaking those things.  I could not go back; I had to do what the Lord has asked us to do and to speak wholeness into him.  And when we took him to deliverance, you know he was a shell, everything that was in him, was almost all scooped out.  So we would have to speak that life back into him.  And people need to speak that life into their situations, in their finances, in their relationships, in their children.  We dug out this cavern in people by our words that we have to turn around.

Sid:  Now there are some people listening with autism, others are facing cancer, other’s their spouses just left them, others are losing their home.  I wonder if you would pray as the Spirit leads for the people listening to us right now.

Karen:  Yes, Father God I just thank You for Your Son Father, I just ask that You would hear us today, that You would hear our cry out to You Father God.  There are people that hurting, that are sick Father God and I would ask from this very moment that you would begin their healing Father God.  That You would completely heal them from whatever situation they’re in, emotional, physical, financial Father God that You would bring Your light into their lives.  That you would show them the way out of this darkness Father God, show them what they need to do to change, to believe in You Father to anoint their children, anoint their houses, Father God and to stand against the devil scheme.  And Satan we just call you a liar, you are exposed, you have overplayed your hand and that any spirit of infirmity would live in these families and these children.  And we ask all these things in Jesus Holy name.

Sid Roth:  And pray specifically for children that have autism.

Karen:  Father God we just thank you today, we just thank you that you have given us this faith Father God and as sons walk out this faith, I pray for all of those families in America and across the world that are suffering under this bondage of autism Father God, it is a disorder.   Satan is the king of disorder Father God and I just break his power now in Jesus holy name and say that you cannot operate in these families, that you must loose the minds of these children with autism Father God and that they would have a freedom that they would know that you have set us free by the blood of Jesus.  And I would ask that these families would begin to pray over their children to break the power of the enemy and pray life back into them Father God, that You would show them the way out the darkness, whether it’s through ministry, through diet changes, through environmental changes.  That they would have complete the whole healing so that their children can walk out their destiny that you have called them to be.  And we just ask all these things in Jesus holy name.  Amen.

Sid:  My guest is red hot for the Messiah; his name is Mark Biltz I’m speaking to him at his home in Bonnie Lake, Washington which is a suburb of Tacoma, Washington.  And Mark when you were a young man in the eighth grade you ran away from home and you had an amazing encounter.

Mark:  Yes, I really did, Sid I was the second youngest of nine kids and I just felt un – not you know not any attention was being paid to me, you know.  Most of my brothers and sisters were older and some were already gone from the house.  But I ran away from home and I left a note that I’d run away from home you know, and so my brother who was a year younger and my sister was a year older went looking for me.  And we lived in a small town of about eight hundred people, well everybody knew everybody.  And I had gone out to this creek and by the creek it’s a wooded area a mile or so from my house, there was a train track and there was a highway going by.  And I had my sleeping bag and my backpack and I’m just kind of lying down and I’m crying out to God, and you know “What should I do, what should I do?”  And all of a sudden I hear my brother and my sister calling for me, yelling you know trying to find out where I am.  And I thought, oh no they’re looking for me and so I cried out to God, I was just in tears you know and “What should I do, should I tell them where I am?”  And then I heard this real loud booming voice like a police car on the highway with a megaphone and it says, “Mark, tell the kids where you are.” And it sounded like my Dad, so I wasn’t scared and I thought oh my goodness, I’m going to be in trouble with the police, I’m going to be taken to you know the Juvie Hall or something.  And so it’s like oh no, so I cried out to God again real loud, I said, “God, what should I do, should I tell them where they are?”  And I here this loud booming voice again over this loud speaker, like a police car saying, “Mark, tell the kids where you are.”  And so I go ahead and I yell out to my brother and sister, “I’m over here,” and so they come running over and they find me.  And I ask them “Am I going to be in trouble because Dad’s out there with the police?”  And they said, “No, Dad’s at home we’re the only two looking for you?”  And I said, “Didn’t you hear that loud voice of Dad?”  And they said, “No, we didn’t hear a thing.”  And then all of a sudden out in this creek comes this, 10:00 at night this guy starts walking toward us, he’s an adult and done of us know who he is.  And that’s what was so strange because it’s a small community.  So here out in the middle of the woods this guy comes out and says, can He be of help?  And my sister says, “Well, he’s run away from home, but he’s agreed to come home.”  And the guy says, “Good home is where he belongs and then he walked off.”  And it was just a very supernatural experience.

Sid:  Now, I believe without a shadow of a doubt that you heard and angel’s booming voice and then an angel came in human form to you, what do you believe?

Mark:  Totally, totally and it just, I talked to my brother and sister about it today and it’s just remarkable.

Sid:  Now you were raised in a Christian home, however they celebrated some of the Biblical Festivals, how come?

Mark:  Well, you know my Dad was raised a Catholic, my Mom was raised a Protestant but my Dad and my Mom both really felt like they had Jewish roots because my Grandpa wasn’t allowed to play golf at golf clubs in California.  But this last year, believe it or not we came to find out that we do have Jewish ancestry.  I still have the Haggadah on Passover that we would use occasionally when I was a kid!  And my Dad said, he thought we did, rumors were there but my brother had been doing some research and come to find our last name wasn’t always Biltz.  In France our ancestor his name was Isaac Hersh and because of Jewish persecution he ended up changing his name to Naphtali Biltz.  And his grandson, still lives in France and my brother got a hold of him and he told us the story.  He sent us the genealogy; we have our Jewish roots going all the way back to like the seventeen hundreds.

Sid:   You know I have a theory that somehow God wanted to bless the whole world and when he scattered the Jews and this is purely theory now, don’t hold me to it.  When he scattered the Jews to the four corners of the earth, every single gentile somewhere back when has a little bit of Jewish blood.  But the ones that have a great deal are the ones that are jumping into the Jewish roots right now, doesn’t make them Jewish, but it says that they have Jewish ancestry.

Mark:  Oh, I totally agree, I’m really finding that to be true too; because clear back in ’75, 1975 was when I became a believer in the Messiah and the church I was going to believe it or not in ’77 was teaching on the Festivals.  But they were teaching it from a totally Christian perspective.  And then in ’93 my wife bought me a book by a Rabbi on the Festivals from a Hebrew perspective and I started looking at that and I thought, “Oh my gosh what a wealth of information that the Jews have because they’ve been studying this for thousands of years.”  And so that’s when I just really became passionate about studying the Bible from a Hebrew perspective.

Sid:  I think for our listeners to understand exactly what the Spirit of God wants them to understand this week, you have to start with a scripture Leviticus Chapter 23 verse 2.

Mark:  Yes, it says “Speak unto the children of Israel and say unto them, concerning the Feasts of the Lord which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations even these are My Feasts.  And I think that that’s so important because when we hear the word Feast we generally think of food.  But the Hebrew word is Moahd, it means an appointment, like a Devine appointment that God wants us to have with us.  I think many of us believe in Devine appointments but how important it is to realize that there are some that God has set for us.  And then the term convocations implies an assembly.  But the Hebrew word is mikra and in addition it applies to a rehearsal, like a dress rehearsal.  So we begin to understand the Feasts were literally the dress rehearsals for the Messiah’s two comings.  And just as He fulfilled the spring Feasts to the day of His first coming He’ll fulfill the fall Feast to the day of His second coming.

Sid:  Now what I believe is because going back to the Constantine episode, in which everything Jewish was literally instantly taken out of the church.  I believe that’s why we have such an obscure understanding and so many diverse understandings of the return of Jesus because we haven’t seen as you said the rehearsal.

Mark:  Right, exactly and I think it’s in the doing that we really get the understanding and just like at a wedding, you want to go to a wedding you want to  be at the rehearsal and I think that when it comes to understanding end times we really need to understand the meaning of these fall Festivals.

Sid:  And I’ll tell you something else that excites me no end, when God says “These are not just Jewish Feasts, these are not just Biblical Feasts He says these are My Feasts and then when we understand the word Feasts means appointment, God is literally saying, “I want to make a special appointment to sit down with you.”  Now, someone would have to be mischugah, it’s a Hebrew word, it means crazy not to want to have an appointment with God.

Mark:  Exactly, I think oh my gosh, we think the President of the United States is up there, but hey he’s nothing compared to God.  And that He, like you said, “I think that it’s so important that there’s He’s Feasts.  And so if we belong to the Lord, then these appointments belong with us.

Sid:  Now you made another interesting statement, you said, “That the spring Feasts celebrate to the day the events that occurred in the First Coming of Jesus and the fall Feasts celebrate to the day the events of the Return of Jesus.”  I wonder if you’d explain that a little bit and let’s look at the spring Feast.

Mark:  Sure, I’d be glad to, as we know Passover is very significant and that is when the Lord died.  And one of the amazing things to me, as many people are familiar with the Gospels it talks about how the Messiah, was nailed to the cross the third hour of the day.  Well, that’s nine in the morning, and that’s also the time of the morning sacrifice and what’s interesting is at these appointed times of the morning sacrifice and the evening sacrifice and they’d be singing songs.  And of course, they’ve be singing the Psalms which is also called the Hallel.  And so I think that it’s so interesting in Psalms 118, all of Jerusalem could be heard and they’re singing this song from verse 27 of Psalm 118 which says, “God is the Lord, which has shown us light, ind the sacrifice with cords even to the horns of the altar.”  So at nine in the morning their binding the Passover Lamb to the horns of the altar and at the same time they’re binding Messiah the Passover Lamb to the cross, at the very day, the very hour.  And then at 3:00 in the afternoon, that’s the time of the evening sacrifice, well when Messiah died.  And that’s the same time that they slew the Passover lamb, so I think that the timing is just incredible.

Sid:  And you know I took a jump and maybe it was too big a stretch for some of our listeners, “Why were these Biblical appointments, God appointments if you will rehearsals of His first coming to the day, rehearsals of His return to the day taken out of the church?”  What was the motivation?

Mark:  Well, I think you were right in going back to a Constantine, but they didn’t want to do anything that was Jewish.  A lot of it was persecution, but the amazing thing to me, do you know this actually it started even in the time of the Apostle John.  Even the Apostle John if you go to Third Book of John it talks about a gentile leader of a congregation; his name was Diotrephes, which means lover of Zeus.  And the amazing thing about it is he talks about how he remembers his deeds and he prays against us with malicious words.  And he said, “He won’t allow me to come.”  So he had already kicked the Apostle John out of the church and then in verse 10 he says, “Not only that he wouldn’t receive the other brethren, the other Jews and then he says that he forbid those that would and he kicks them out of the church.”  And so even during the time of John they were already kicking the Jews out the church, they didn’t allow the Apostle John.

Sid Roth:  But I want to find out why?  What was the motivation behind it and we’ll pick up right there on tomorrows broadcast.

Sid:  And this is going to happen so fantastically because we’re going to be under an open heaven.  And that’s why I love what my new guest has written in his book.  The title is, “Supernatural Living under an Open Heaven.”  How would you like to live 24-7 with an open heaven?  That means you’re not struggling in prayer; that means you’re moving as Jesus moved.  My guest Eddie Rogers, I’m in interviewing him this week on this book.  And Eddie, as I have found many people that are being used by God it’s almost like the devil had insight and tried to snuff their life out.  There were at least two major attempts on your life; tell me about one of them.

Eddie:  One of them that I remember even as a child ironically people say, “You can’t remember at this age,” but my mother tells me I was no more than eighteen months old and I remember climbing up into a cabinet and eating a bottle of baby aspirin.  And I don’t remember what transpired after that but that was one attack.  And a second one on the heels of that was about when I was four falling into a drainage ditch and the water was over my head and you know it’s kind of humorous because I could see under water and the thoughts that were going through my head was, wow I could see under water.  I have no recollection of how I got out of it but I got out of it.  So that was just two attacks.

Sid:  Well, do you think that your nightmares were connected with what happened to you?

Eddie:  I believe so, you know Sid, I believe that the enemy could obvious recognize potential in people.  He may not know everything about a person’s destiny but he certainly has the ability to recognize potential in people or callings on people.  And I believe that is one thing that happened to me because I had just been rattled with nightmares up until about the age of four.  Until one night this same repetitive nightmare that was always of a black cloud outside my bedroom window that was trying to get in.  And I would just be literally frozen in fear and about the age of four there was bright light that came into my room.  I can’t say that it was Jesus and I can’t say that it was an angel, because I don’t know; I just know that someone come and stood in the doorway and the light was so bright that it was like headlights you know shining into the room and I was just literally terrified.  But from that point on the nightmares went away and I never had another one.

Sid:  And what did you figure the bright light was?

Eddie:  You know at four years of age I really didn’t recall and I thought that when I woke up the next morning, it was probably just a part of a dream.  And as I grew up I literally forgot about it until 1997 we were in a meeting in Detroit, Michigan and Kim Clement was doing the ministry.  And he called us out and he said, “That there had been a threat on my life something along those lines all of my life.”  He said, “But the Lord said that I came and visited you when you were four years of age.”  And when he said that, immediately I was just flooded with those thoughts of that person or that light standing in the doorway, that’s what it reminded me of immediately.

Sid:  And but the amazing thing is that those nightmares stopped after you had that visitation.

Eddie:  Absolutely, never had another one again.

Sid:  Okay, so you’re a nice Baptist Pastor and in 1994 you go to a Baptist Revival Meeting but it wasn’t like any Baptist Revival Meeting you’d ever been to.  Tell me about that.

Eddie:  I think that you are referring to the Jekyll Island Meetings that we were at with a fellowship of Christian ministers and Associates.  And in this particular meeting this was about the time that many people had been visited with South African Evangelist that we all know and the joy was breaking out.  And Dan Duke who is my spiritual father was doing that particular meeting.  I did not know Dan, I had never met him before, but at that this particular meeting, when he came by…

Sid:  And by the way, I was at that meeting, now that you are telling me about it.

Eddie:  Okay, it was on a Saturday afternoon at that Jekyll Convention Center when Dan came by and prayed for me the power of God absolutely overwhelmed me and I you know I fell to the floor and I began weeping.  And the Lord just began cleaning me out of hurts and offenses that I had received in ministry prior to that time that I thought I was over, but I didn’t realize that I had merely buried it.  I was just layer upon layer of hurts that were hidden deep within me and I just felt the Lord just reaching in where the hand of a man could not go and removing one at a time these hurts.  And for twenty minutes I lay on the floor and I wept until literally pools of tears were filling up my ears and I had to turn my head to the left and to the right to get the tears out of my ears.  And about that time I had my first encounter with an angel and I told the person next to me, I said, “There’s an angel standing at my head,” and he had a pitcher in his hand.

Sid:  Now just let’s just slow down a little it’s too good.  What did the angel look like?  What does an angel look like?

Eddie:  This particular angel had on like a long flowing garment with a kind of a sandy brown shoulder length hair and he had a pitcher like a water pitcher or something along that type of vessel in his hands.  And when I looked up and made eye contact with him he took the vessel and he began to tilt it was as though he was pouring something out.  And laying on the floor looking up I saw a golden liquid coming out of the vessel and I literally watched it as it left the vessel and headed directed to my forehead.  And when it hit me I instantly broke out in joy, hilariously, I could not stop laughing for another twenty – twenty-five minutes.  Sid I was, I was in pain it was hurting so bad…

Sid:  Out of curiosity, did you try to stop laughing?

Eddie:  I tried, I could not stop, it was hurting, in fact I would say, “Lord, make it stop, make it stop, ha.

Sid:  Now there are people listening right now and they are saying “That’s not God, why would God do that?”  What would you say to them?

Eddie:  Well, I would say that God is good, and He certainly knew that the cleansing that I had just went through and the weeping, it was a healing process.  You know “Joy comes in the morning, weeping endures for a night.”  And I had been through a long night or season of weeping and this was a joy of refreshing, it was a joy of energy; it restored me to my first love.

Sid:  What difference did you see in you, the last word was the operative word, it restored, if it just did that, restored you to first love.  But did you see any increase in the power gifts of the Spirit in your life as a result of that?

Eddie:  Yes, we did we began to see increase in words of knowledge; we begin to see a measure of increase at that time in healings and miracles.  We’ve seen more since that particular time.  But you know understanding that I was just a Baptist you know boy starting my first church this was all knew to me.  And any kind of healing to me was just absolutely incredible and we rejoiced over headaches going, as a matter of fact we still do.  But one of the ironic things is that when we returned to our church that was still a Southern Baptist Church plant at that time, other people began the very first time Sunday I came back and began to see the angel in the pulpit with me.  Now whether it was the same one I don’t know, I didn’t seem him, but others would describe him to me and their description to him was what I had seen laying in the floor there in Jekyll.

Sid:  Well, you didn’t see the angel again, other’s reported seeing the angel, but out of curiosity did you feel the angel’s presence?

Eddie:  I do indeed feel the angel’s presence; as a matter of fact I feel more than one presence right now even as we’re speaking…

Sid:  Now this is, now I know what it feels like to feel the presence of the Holy Spirit, but is it a different feeling than when there’s an angel’s presence?

Eddie:  You know to me, it feels this way.  When it’s the Holy Spirit I feel overwhelmed, I feel as though there’s somebody has wrapped me in a blanket, that the anointing when it comes upon you.  In the presence of an angel I feel the nearness of them, I feel a tangible presence, it’s more like they’re beside me or close to me rather than upon me; that’s how I would describe it.

Sid:  Well, as a result of the experiences we are about ready to share and there’s one that I believe is going to change people’s lives when they hear the rest of this interview….Your book, it’s called “Supernatural” I love the title, and I wonder why?  Ha-ha.  Supernatural and the sub title is “Living Under and Open Heaven.”  Now is it possible for everyone that’s listening to us to live under an open heaven?

Eddie:  I believe it is, I believe that it not only is possible, I believe that it is a greater desire of the Lord that we live under an open heaven.

Sid:  What would you say to someone that loves the Lord, but they know in their heart there just standing still spiritually, they’re not moving forward, they’re not moving backwards, what would you say to them?

Eddie:  I would tell them to get hungry, get thirsty for the Lord, if you feel no passion for Him, you know He said to ask and He would give.  And I literally, I pray on a daily basis, I even ask the Lord today, “Make me more hungry than I have ever been before.  Because it is that drive that innate ability inside of us through the Holy Spirit that keeps us hungering for more of his presence.  He said, “That He would give us the desires of our heart.” And His desire is that for us to be with Him and my desire is to be with Him; so it’s a win, win situation.  If someone is in a position that they feel that they’re just going through the motions, the church or religion has just become a statist quo for them, it’s just a mundane routine I think the most dangerous prayer you could pray and I say this respectfully so some don’t take it wrong.  The most dangerous prayer that you can pray is “Lord hit me with Your best shot.”  I’ve prayed that prayer before, “Lord hit me with your best shot.”  I want You more than life itself.

Sid Roth:  I tell you what, why don’t you lead us in that prayer very quickly.

Eddie:  Father, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, I pray not only would You touch and You increase the appetite and the hunger in myself and Sid, but for every person that is listening.  I pray right now for that person that is leaning over, to turn up their car radio to hear this prayer.  I pray Lord that You would overwhelm them.  I pray for that Pastor that is going through the struggles right now, I pray Lord that You would increase His hunger, make Yourself real to them Jesus, hit us with Your best shot, hit us oh Lord with a new thirst and desire that we’ve never had before.  Increase it, in Jesus name.

Sid:  Why don’t you say that, that’s me I’m red hot for the Messiah.  And you say “Well Sid, I’m not red hot for the Messiah, I want to be.”  Well, faith calls those things that are not as if they are and I’m going to tell you something say this with me, “I am red hot for the Messiah,” out loud come on now, no cheating.  “I am red hot for the Messiah.”  My guest is another crazy man for Yeshua, a Jewish Believer in the Messiah.  His name is Steve Solomon, but I’m saying crazy in a normal way. It’s so good to have normal Jewish people on my program.  Normal is not a Jewish person that believes in Jesus.  Normal is a Jewish person that believes in Jesus and does the stuff that the New Testament says is normal; that’s my definition of normal.  Steve, what is this business, I mean I get a hold of a CD because someone from a church sends it to me and they’re saying there’s all sorts of visitations, Jacobs ladder and walking up to heaven and getting revelation and people being literally frozen to the ground.  And I mean the tears flowing and people overcome by the love of Jesus when they hear this music.  And so they sent it to me so I talked to those that schedule my guests and I said, “Check this out, call the pastor, I didn’t have any pastor’s name on this.”  I didn’t have any pastors name on this, it was called “Riverwalk DNA” I didn’t have any name on this and so I called.  And I thought huh, Steve Solomon I wonder if it’s the Steve Solomon that I know.  And we spoke on the phone and I found out that you’re a pastor.  How did you become a pastor?   I mean you have this most wonderful “Praise in the night show” that’s on radio stations in the middle of the night which is just as far as I’m concerned is probably the loneliest, neediest people in the world are listening.  But I never even saw you as a pastor, tell me the story.

Steve:  Well, we were happy doing “Praise in the Night” and traveling around the country and having meetings all over the country and different places that we were on.  And the Lord in 1999 started speaking to my heart to start pastoring a church.  And I tried all the Excedrin that I could get my hands on and the feeling wouldn’t go away, I couldn’t fight it.  And the Lord just had us start it and I’ll tell you the amazing thing about it was that I said, “Okay Lord if we’re going to do it then You got to go before me Lord.”  Because we didn’t have any money to do it, we didn’t have a building to do it, we didn’t have a sound system, you know chairs, nothing.  And to make a long story short the Lord was just faithful to do it.  And the Lord told me, “He wanted me to start a church, not a performance based church, but a presence based church.”  He said, “I want you to get My word in their faces; I want you to get My presence in their faces; I want you to get My music in their faces; put it right in their face and let them deal with it.”  And that’s what happened; just supernaturally He opened the doors for us.

Sid:  Tell me about the prophecy about the building, or prophecies.

Steve:  Yeah, well I told a couple friends about this; what the Lord was sharing with me to do.  Well this goes back to 1999.  And then in 2000 I shared it with Pastor Bob Nichols we were going to church at Calvary Cathedral in Fort Worth and that was as the Tornadoes hit downtown Fort Worth and really destroyed the building, Calvary Cathedral.  I wanted to get to our building and I need to set it up this way.  And so Pastor Bob and I decided that I would wait until 2001 you know with the Tornadoes and stuff it wouldn’t be right to start a church right then, I didn’t think that it would be the right thing to do.  And I felt a real release of the Lord to wait until 2001.  Alright, so the Lord supernaturally leads us in January of 2001, leads me to a guy, the first building we got Sid is just as supernatural because I was going to different hotels and getting prices to rent rooms.  And everything was just so expensive and it just we didn’t have anyone but my wife and myself and a couple friends; so I didn’t know who would show up if anyone would show up.  So I’m praying about it and the Lord tells me to call this guy I don’t know and I looked his phone number up and I called him.  He was in the ministry and I said, “Listen, I’m looking for a building and I don’t know where to go but the Lord told me to call you, you would know where to go.”  And he said, “I don’t know where a building is, but I have a friend who knows where a building is call him.”  So I called this other pastor up.  And as I call him up that day its January 8^th the year 2001.  I said, “Danny this is Steve Solomon, this other bother gave me your number, the Lord wants me to start a church, I can’t find a building but the Lord told me to call him, he told me to call you.”  And he said, “Steve, I just moved my church into this Strip Center three months ago, we lost a lot of people; as we speak I was writing an ad to put in the Dallas Morning News to see if there would be a civic group or a church group who would like to share my building.”  And I said, “Don’t put the ad in the paper.”  So we got together the next day and the Lord opened up a Strip Center where I could rent and it was fully furnished because remember Sid, I didn’t have anything to start a church, not in the pulpit.  And so we started there in February of 2001. We started on Friday nights and went to Friday and Saturday.  And then April 15^th, Easter Sunday was our first Sunday Service.  The Lord gave me a word as I’m preaching, and we were packed it only sits 300 people.  And the Lord gave me this word and I prophesied it, I said, “By the fall of the year by Tabernacles were going to have our very own building.”  Well Sid, I knew that after I said those words I thought, “Oh my God what did I just say,” because I knew that get your own building it means credit checks, it means money, it means all of these things and we’re a brand new church and by then we would have been six months of age and in the natural…

Sid:  Isn’t it great when God does a brain bypass, it comes straight out of your spirit.

Steve:  Yeah, it’s just incredible, absolutely.

Sid:  So tell me about those prophetic words you had that you were going to be given a church.

Steve:  Yes, so that’s April, well I’m driving all over town every day looking for buildings.  In August of 2001 I go to a meeting a good friend of mine, Christian Harfouche is preaching and he turns to me and Diane, my wife and he says “The Lord just told me to tell you that He’s going to give you a building turnkey, you won’t have to do anything at 40% of its value.”  Well, I said “Wow that’s awesome,” you know.  In my mind I’m thinking “Yeah right,” but in my heart, “Alright.”  About two weeks later, I remember because it was right before 9/11 2001; a good friend of mine, Pastor Sam Carr in Freeport, TX called me up and said during his morning prayer time the Lord interrupted him and told him to call and tell me “That I was going to get a call from a pastor who was going to give me his building and his people.”  And I said, “Amen, alright.” And, but my heart believed it, but my head was having a hard time with it.  Well, I was suppose to fly to Moscow on October 1^st 2001 on September 10^th I’m calling my travel agent to buy my ticket to fly overseas and the Lord says, “Don’t buy anything wait until tomorrow.”  Well tomorrow is 9-11 and when 9-11 happened Sid, I don’t know about you, but we just stopped all our immediate travel plans.

Sid:  I think that was rational.

Steve:  Yeah, as a matter of fact I asked my church, I said “Listen,” well before I asked the church the Lord said, “Listen, you will always have opportunities to preach, but you have a responsibility to stay here with your flock.”  And I said, “Lord I’ll do it.”  I mean it was no big deal, that decision.  Plus the ticket was $7000 it was easy to say no.  Okay, October the 2^nd I leave the house, I’m supposed to be landing in Moscow on October the 2^nd.  I leave the house and I tell my wife Diane, I said “Honey,” remember I have these two prophetic words but I was still out looking for a building.  And I say, “Diane I’m not coming home until I find a place for our church, a building.”  And I left the house with those words.  Ten minutes later Sid, I get a phone call from a pastor who I haven’t spoke to in about seven years.  And he says “Steve,” the first words out of his mouth, “Steve,” I said, “Yeah.” “This is Bill Fletcher.”  I said, “Hi Bill.”  He said, “Are you in town today?”  And I said, “Funny you should ask, I’m in town.”  He said, “Are you close by?”  I said, “I’m about five minutes from your church.”  He said, “Well, come by I want to talk to you.”  I said, “Okay.”  When I hung up I called Diane and we both knew that there was something to this.  I walk in his office and he says, “I hear your looking for a building for your church.”  I said, “I am.”  He said, “Would you like this building.”  I said, “I’d love it, why, what’s happening?”  He said, “My wife and I are going to go on the road traveling, we’ve been praying for months about who to turn this church over to and your name came to us from a friend of ours.”

Sid Roth:  How much did he charge you?”

Steve:  Well, the Lord told us to give him I think it was like; $250,000 for another ministry building that he had to bless him.  And He was going to give us this building so he really wasn’t going to charge me anything, but the Lord told us to commit to him to sow a quarter of a million dollars into his ministry.
