SID: My guest, Dr. Candice Smithyman, made a full commitment to the Messiah, and you would too if you had had an encounter like she had. What was wrong with you physically?
CANDICE: I had Crohn’s disease and severe anxiety, depression, a spirit of fear.
SID: Is there a cure for Crohn’s disease?
CANDICE: No, it is an incurable disease.
SID: So, what happened?
CANDICE: Well, obviously this disease had consumed me for most of my life and I was full of fear, anxiety, and depression. I just walked in it. I was in Hawaii, my husband was called to go away on a six-month deployment, and while he was gone I really started to feel just intense grief and depression. The grief came as a result of the fact that when my father died, when I was nine years old, I never grieved his death. And so, here when my husband left, I started to begin manifesting what I had packed down for many, many years, although I didn’t realize that at the time. But I went to the doctors and they wanted to put me on anxiety and depression medication and I didn’t go in that direction.
CANDICE: So, my husband calls me and tells me that I’m going to have to attend a funeral because one of the men in his squadron had passed away. And I was like, “I can’t go to the funeral. I haven’t been to a funeral since my father died when I was nine.” And my husband said, “You need to go and you need to support the family.” So, the night before the funeral, I prayed this rather lack of faith, prideful prayer. And I said, “Lord, if you’re there and you can hear me, I can’t get myself out of this one.” And I can’t get myself out of this one wasn’t just the funeral part, it was like I can’t get me out of this box of anxiety and depression and sickness.
CANDICE: I fell asleep. I woke up the next morning and I was looking for my pain. You know, when you’re grieving or when you’re depressed you’re expecting it, the minute of consciousness that you would have it. I didn’t have it. I was like touching myself. I was like, “Oh my gosh, have this joy.” So, I went to the funeral, and my friend said, “Oh my gosh, what happened to you?” And I said, “I don’t know. This is the last prayer that I prayed and immediately a touch from God, all of that, and also understanding the Word.”
SID: Tell me about the portal, the gateways. In fact, I have a quote from your book. “You,” speaking of us, “are now a heavenly being in an earth suit.” Explain.
CANDICE: Yes, yes. I think it’s really important for people to understand this, Sid, that when we become born again, we immediately enter into eternity. You don’t have to wait until you die to be in eternity. We are in eternity right now every moment of time, and so we need to learn to operate as eternal beings in the here and now. When we began to do that and activate that understanding, that knowledge and understanding, and activate the spiritual of faith and knowing that we are eternal beings, we’ll begin to start to see the miracles of heaven manifest in the earth. Everything that is founded on healing and miracles is all about faith, and so God will meet us where we’re at. If we believe we’re eternal beings, he will treat us as such and then we’ll begin to see the responses of being eternal.
SID: Now, God’s really gifted you. You’re a seer, that means she can see in the invisible world. You explain, and I’m beginning to see… I like the word you use for angels, waiters… but there’s a lot of unemployed waiters. What are they waiting for?
CANDICE: These waiters that we have are not unemployed. They are on the heavenly payroll and they are consistently waiting for the command of the Word of God. And just as waiters do when we sit at a table with our family and go out to dinner, and when you finish with your meal or you need more of a drink, they usher over. Well, these angels that God has assigned to us for the purposes of the kingdom will do the same thing. They respond to his Word. And so, it’s not so much, this is not some kind of strange and arbitrary thing. We all have the Word on the inside of us or you can read the Word. It’s right in front of you and so all you must do is speak that Word and they begin to come forward and start to operate with you in the speaking of the Word.
